Sustainability

Winpak Ltd., headquartered in Winnipeg, is a leading packaging company with 13 manufacturing facilities across North America. Winpak is participating in our Strategic Energy Manager Initiative which helps industrial customers adopt a culture of conservation and fosters a forum for continuous improvement. Through this initiative, we support participants in hiring an on-site energy manager to plan and implement sustainability initiatives. With help from our Strategic Energy Manager Initiative, Winpak Ltd. was able to identify and implement nearly 30 energy-saving projects. Their Winnipeg facility is expected to save over 4 million kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity and 310,000 m3 (cubic metres) of natural gas every year.
