CME congratulates government on TMX Approval
OTTAWA (June 18, 2019) — Dennis Darby, president & CEO of Canadian Manufactuers & Exporters (CME) released the following statement with regards to the federal government approval of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project:
“On behalf of our 2500 members, CME applauds today’s decision to approve the Trans Mountain Expansion Project. Canada’s energy industry is an important driver of manufacturing activity across the country. Once completed, this pipeline expansion will improve returns for Canadian energy producers and drive new investment.
We congratulate the federal government on this positive decision and look forward to seeing the project completed on time and on budget.”
