CME – IESO Research Uncovers Big Energy Savings For Manufacturers

December 20, 2017

The CME Energy Pathfinder Research Initiative included detailed analyses of energy usage patterns at five Ontario manufacturing facilities, with the goal of identifying opportunities to implement process energy management (PEM) best practices. Case Studies were developed to showcase the opportunities uncovered through sub-metering at each of the facilities.

As the project wraps up with the end of 2017, recommendations will be provided to the IESO on how their energy efficiency programs could benefit from the learnings of this study, and the CME will continue promoting energy savings opportunities for the manufacturing sector in Ontario.
