CME’s Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 Adoption Forum and Workshop Series are must attend opportunities allowing the core personnel of small and larger SME manufacturers to meet and exchange ideas around the “how to” adoption of emerging technologies for current and future manufacturing operations. Kevin Lusk is CME’s Advanced Manufacturing and Senior Executive Leadership Champion. Kevin’s extensive background in innovation and technology includes metal fabrication, vehicle manufacture, composites and robotics. He holds several patents and is a past board chair of the Composite Innovation Center. Kevin currently serves on the boards of several organizations serving the Manitoba manufacturing industry including the new university of Manitoba’s Innovation Hub.

Technical Consultant, Integrated Architecture – Rockwell Automation

 

Thomas St. Onge holds a degree in Electronics Engineering and is a Technical Expert in Industrial Automation in Integrated Architecture with Rockwell Automation. He has several years of experience working on automation & SCADA systems lately on LPG facilities, building management systems, and alarm management systems. In his current role, he continues to architect and enhance solutions to help industry move forward with digital transformation to move forward on the path towards a Connected Enterprise or Smart Factory.

CYBER AND DATA SECURITY AWARENESS FOR MANUFACTURERS

Despite exciting possibilities and competitive advantages of digital based technologies and informational systems, there are always concerns about cyber-security breaches that can stop production. James will be leading an interactive discussion on the pros and cons of a Connected Enterprise. Participants will be made aware of the security gaps that exist today, and what to consider when increasing security effectiveness in building integrated cyber-security architecture.

James leads Rockwell’s Connected Services Business for Canada and is located out of Calgary, Alberta. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University and a Diploma of Technology in Computer Systems Cooperative Designation from Camosun College and attended Harvard Business School Program for Executive Management. James has over 20 years of experience in the information technology field at HP he developed his career starting as a programmer and held numerous roles including, solution architect, project manager, and business development where he specialized in Systems Development, Data Warehousing, Enterprise Content Management, and Analytics. At IBM he first managed IBM’s Information Management business and then became Big Data Solutions Leader before making the transition to IBM Natural Resource Solution Centre start up where he is able to help develop Industry focused solutions.

As a Security Systems Engineer, Technical Solutions Architect and member of Cisco’s Global Virtual Security Engineering team, Patrick has been architecting, designing, and deploying security technologies for the past decade. These solutions have actively protected complex computing environments, incorporating industry best practices. Patrick holds Cisco’s CCNA Security, and CCNP R&S designations and has completed CCIE Security Written Exam. He is also a graduate of McMaster University where he obtain a Bachelor of Mechatronics with experience in the automotive manufacturing sector. Patrick is committed to prioritizing effective network security to face tomorrow’s evolving threats.
