Join CME at the (virtual) Women in Manufacturing (WIM) 2020 Bootcamp!
Attracting more women into manufacturing professions is critical to helping companies grow. In Canada, women account for 48 per cent of the labour force but only 28 per cent of the manufacturing workforce. What is even more alarming, there has been no increased in the share of manufacturing jobs held by women in the last 30 years.
Join us and other industry stakeholders as we strategize how we can impact the engagement of women in manufacturing in Manitoba. Our efforts will focus on these pillars:
- Engage and Inspire: introduce STEM to young women and girls;
- Attract and Retain: increase the number of women entering and staying in the manufacturing workforce; and
- Empower, Support and Accelerate: help women achieve success in the workplace by breaking down barriers to their personal and professional growth.
The WIM 2020 Bootcamp is open to everyone, at all levels of the organization. Change doesn’t happen without action so be ready to roll up your sleeves and let’s get to work!
