This December, the Coalition for Advanced Manufacturing will connect Manitoba manufacturers with Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen), leaders of Canada’s Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster.
NGen is an industry-focused, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to positioning Canada as a world leader in advanced manufacturing capabilities. The Supercluster connects manufacturers and technology companies to accelerate the development, adoption, and scale-up of transformative capabilities in Canadian manufacturing. The Supercluster aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Canada’s manufacturing sector, drive more innovation and investment in advanced manufacturing technologies in Canada, generate new commercial opportunities for Canadian companies in global markets, grow more large-scale world-leading Canadian enterprises, and develop a modern and inclusive workforce with the skills to excel in advanced manufacturing.
The morning of this workshop will provide participants with an overview of non-proprietary collaborative projects concepts for the Supercluster initiative, with an opportunity for networking and in-depth project discussion. During the afternoon, participating companies will give 3-5 minute presentations on their capabilities and forward-looking business outcomes, with the goal of matching companies with similar objectives, and expand the idea pool.
Attendees who register for the December 4 session are encouraged to attend a preparatory, pre-workshop webinar on November 8, at which NextGen will present on the supercluster initiative and answer any questions that you may have.
