SURVEY: Help boost Canada’s innovation performance by answering this short survey!

November 10, 2017

Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and BDO Canada are seeking your help to better understand businesses investment R&D, the use of the federal Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax program, and to define a constructive path forward to help boost Canada’s innovation performance and the growth of your company.

Based on the work that CME conducted in 2016 in developing a long-term strategy for growing manufacturing in Canada, called Industrie 2030, Canadian companies are investing less and less in R&D and innovation. In fact, Canada ranks amongst the worst in the OECD economies for innovation as companies are commercializing fewer products, processes and technologies. This is a critical problem given that innovation is essential for the growth of companies and the economy more broadly.

By answering our short survey, your confidential results allow CME to work with governments and service providers to improve R&D supports for the growth of your company. We also encourage you to share this survey with your network to strengthen the input and direction we can provide.
