WHAT COURSES ARE BEING OFFERED?
Lean 101
This one-day, hands-on, ‘learning by doing’ style of workshop will cover the Lean concepts of customer focus, information and material flow and waste elimination. In this introductory session, participants will take part in simulation exercises to gain an understanding of the foundations of Lean and learn what it means to pursue perfection.

Ontario Health and Safety Law for Managers/Supervisors & JHSC
This course is designed for managers, supervisors, JHSC or safety representatives. The course will focus on the key legal requirements under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. Participants will gain an understanding of their key duties and responsibilities and how to establish due diligence for themselves and their organization. The enforcement role of Ministry of Labour, Training, Skills and Development (MLTSD) inspectors will also be reviewed. This course will also meet the requirements for the MLTSD mandatory basic Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness in 5 Steps training under Ontario Regulation 297/13.

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
This one day course is general WHMIS training designed for all employees within an organization. The system is designed to provide information on how to safely use, handle, and store hazardous materials. WHMIS training has been mandatory for Canadian workplaces since 1988. In 2018, it became mandatory to train on the new system of labeling called the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). Participants will gain an understanding of the health and safety hazards related to working with chemicals and how WHMIS is designed to protect them. This course will also meet the mandatory WHMIS training requirements.

Women in Leadership Program
2.5 days of best-in-class leadership training in a women’s only learning environment, specifically designed to assist women in manufacturing. This course will cover topics such as women in leadership vs managing, value exercise, leadership behaviour styles, women in communication, conflict management, assertiveness, Clifton and strength finder, time management and scenario discussions.
