Capstone presents: Trump Administration, Geopolitics and Trade

OVERVIEW

Join us on April 30 for a member-exclusive webinar from 12-1 pm EDT. This webinar will focus on the major factions in the Trump Administration that drive its decision making and how this competition shapes the Administration’s actions on geopolitics and trade. The webinar will devote special attention to the impact this dynamic has had/will have on (i) the Canada-US relationship under the new Government of Canada; (ii) Canadian manufacturers and exporters; and (iii) the timing and content of forthcoming negotiations on the renewal of CUSMA/USMCA.

The deep dive on trade will include a focus on President Trump’s use of emergency powers to impose universal and so-called “reciprocal” tariffs and deployment of investigations under other authorities to impose sector specific tariffs on products such as aluminum and lumber.

The presenters for the webinar will be Daniel Silverberg – Capstone DC, Alexander Slater – Capstone DC and Andrew Gier, CFA – Capstone DC. Combined, we have more than 40 years’ experience working on national security, geopolitics and trade issues.
