Lean Into Learning: The Next Gen of Continuous Improvement

OVERVIEW

Through collaboration with education, CME is working to develop a future workforce that strives to innovate, think critically and works continuously to improve environments around them. Students who participate in the two hour workshop will receive a certificate of completion.

This course provides Manitoba youth with the chance to discover their capabilities beyond the walls of high school. “Learning by doing” style of workshop covers Lean concepts of customer requirements; information and material flow, as well as waste elimination to empower students to improve productivity.

Through simulation exercises and case study examples, students will also gain an understanding of how to identify wastes and implement core Lean tools to improve processes. Using Lean tools and techniques, this workshop will cover how students can use process improvement to identify and eliminate waste to improve productivity.
