OPEN DOOR VIRTUAL TOURS

AN INSIDE LOOK AT MANUFACTURING
Looking for a growth-oriented, dynamic career? Manufacturing jobs are high tech, highly skilled, high paying, and in high demand.
Manufacturers are creative, they’re builders, groundbreakers, and role models. They’re designing planes, computers, and furniture. As problem solvers, they are figuring out how to lay out assembly lines, helping to make new cars more aerodynamic and appliances more efficient; pushing the limits of technology, and inventing new medicine. Manufacturers figure out how to make businesses greener, more productive, and more cost-effective.
Manufacturers come from all walks of life – from the shop floor to the boardroom, a broad range of experience, talent, and skills are needed to run a facility and to export world-class products.
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporter’s (CME) virtual Open Doors tours provide students, teachers, and parents with a different point of view and showcase the diversity of career options available in the industry.
WHAT ARE VIRTUAL OPEN DOOR TOURS?
CME is partnering with ATS Automation in Cambridge, Ontario, and Adfast, in Montreal, Quebec to host two incredibly fascinating tours of cutting-edge facilities for you to visit.
Students will:
- See the action behind the scenes and the fascinating products made right here in Canada.
- See for themselves the hands-on manufacturing environment and the importance of group dynamics and teamwork in action.
Each tour will consist of a virtual tour of the facility, and a “speed dating” Q&A session with several different women within the organization who will be happy to answer any questions the students may have.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
The tours are offered free to all high school students from grades 8 – 12 and all university and college students.
