Turtle Island Project
Overview
The Turtle Island Project offers a transformative opportunity to advance reconciliation through lived experience. This action-oriented session challenges participants to confront negative perceptions of Indigenous Peoples through an immersive experiential exercise. By walking in the shoes of Indigenous Peoples—tracing a journey that began 150 years ago—attendees gain profound insights into historical and contemporary Indigenous experiences. This session goes beyond awareness, fostering the meaningful reconciliatory action necessary for building inclusive, respectful workplaces and communities. Participants will leave equipped with deeper understanding, renewed perspective, and practical tools to champion Indigenous workforce development and reconciliation in their professional roles.
