Nov 2, 3, 17 & 18, 2022 (In Person) 8:30 am - 2:30 pm each day

Course Overview

Important note: all times cited below are in Mountain Time (Alberta).

  • Thursday, October 20 for 1 hour as an intro to the course (9:00 to 10:00 am)
  • Prior to November 2, the student works at their own pace and at a convenient time, approximately 8 hours, on the online component where participants will learn about Customer Value, 5 Principles of Lean, and 8 wastes, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Value Assessment, 5S and Standardized Work.
  • Wednesday, November 2 for 6 hours (8:30 to 2:30) Value Stream Mapping
  • Thursday, November 3 for 6 hours (8:30 to 2:30) 5S & Standardized Work
  • Prior to November 17, the student works at their own pace, approximately 4-6 hours, on the online component where participants will learn about Visual Management, Problem Solving, and will upload their required homework
  • Thursday, November 17 for 6 hours (8:30 to 2:30) Huddle Board Exercise and the start of the Case Study
  • Friday, November 18 for 6 hours (8:30 to 2:30) Finish Case Study and Graduation
