In the fast-paced realm of manufacturing, staying ahead of the curve is imperative for success. Lynch Fluid Controls Inc., dedicated to designing and manufacturing hydraulic motion control manifolds and integrated hydraulic systems, understands this well. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, Lynch has recently implemented advanced technology into its operations, marking a significant milestone in its journey.

Lynch Fluid Controls boasts certification to the highest industrial standards, underlining its dedication to quality. A major exporter, with products and services reaching over 60 countries, Lynch is not just a company but a role model for SMEs in Canada, playing a crucial role in retaining and producing high-value manufacturing jobs for Ontarians.

Through its participation in CME’s Technology Investment Program, funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), Lynch invested in the Matsuura H-Plus 504 horizontal machining centre.

Representing the latest in CNC technology, this state-of-the-art machine signifies more than just an upgrade from Lynch’s over 20-year-old horizontal machining centre; it’s a paradigm shift in Lynch’s manufacturing capabilities.

Among its standout features, the Matsuura H-Plus 504 boats advanced pallet management technology, empowering Lynch to schedule and monitor work progress seamlessly, optimizing workflow within the cell. Additionally, the new spindle technology enables high-speed machining while maintaining the robust low-end torque necessary for Lynch’s tools. With a tool holding capacity exceeding 500 tools, tasks such as form reaming, face milling, and part probing are streamlined, ensuring seamless transitions between jobs.

The coolant management system on the machine was configured to reduce the amount of maintenance required, resulting in more effective coolant performance and sump life. Coolant temperature control maintains thermal stability, enhancing part accuracy and cutting tool performance.

The journey towards integrating the Matsuura H-Plus 504 into Lynch’s operations has been a collaborative effort, spanning two years of meticulous planning and execution. Drawing on decades of experience and expertise, Lynch’s team has crafted a cutting-edge manufacturing cell that sets new standards for excellence.

The benefits of this investment extend beyond the shop floor. With the enhanced production capacity and streamlined lead times facilitated by this cutting-edge machine, Lynch is poised to secure a competitive advantage in the global market.

As Lynch continues its journey towards optimum productivity levels, one thing is certain: the future of manufacturing is unfolding before our eyes, and Lynch Fluid Controls is leading the way.
