Senior Leadership/Executive

Manufacturers’ Export Council (MEXC)

Overview

Increasing Canada’s value-added exports markets is critical to manufacturers and Canada’s economic growth and success. Businesses that invest in these opportunities and take advantage of Canada’s trade deals have healthier bottom lines than their counterparts that do not.

Looking to understand what export opportunities are best suited for your company’s needs? CME’s Manufacturers Export Council (MEXC) helps you navigate this, as well as helps provides you with greater certainty on your investments.

An exclusive group of senior manufacturing executives from non-competing companies, leaders meet to gain strategic insights, share ideas and learn from each other’s experiences. The MEXC is a peer-mentoring forum to exchange confidential business information related to the ongoing operations and growth of their business.

Meetings are highly interactive, participants share their experiences on various topics such as supply chains, exporting market opportunities, avoiding trade barriers and export pitfalls, and doing business in a foreign country. MEXC members also gain access to CME’s resources and trusted partner subject matter experts.

Chris White, Engineering Manager at Quickmill and council participant shares:

“Being a part of the Manufacturers’ Export Council has enriched my personal and professional growth in many ways. Networking with other likeminded professionals has taught me so much about what other company leaders are doing to help grow their companies across North America.

Being in a small group has allowed us to directly ask targeted questions pertaining to our companies and industries.

Our interactions with special guest presenters have introduced a diverse number of topics to the group. Being able to network with government officials and other manufacturing leaders from the US ond Canada has also given our company new contacts and has opened up new avenues  to help grow our sales.

The dedicated CME team collaborates closely with the council, attentively considering our input, and leverages the information shared to advocate for funding and other relevant interests with government.

I wholeheartedly recommend joining this group to anyone that wants to grow and network with likeminded people. It really has helped myself and my company in a very positive way.”
