OVERVIEW
The CME Ontario Energy Policy Committee allows members to discuss current policy developments with their peers and contribute to CME’s advocacy agenda. The group aims to remain at the front-line of decision-making with high-ranking government officials often attending the meetings to gather direct feedback from industry.
The Energy Committee develops and presents recommendations to the provincial government and addresses various energy issues including: electricity supply, reliability and affordability to support the competitiveness of the Ontario manufacturing sector, development of policies on emerging fuels sources like RNG, hydrogen and energy efficiency programs.
