Calgary-based Tenato is a strategic marketing and communications firm that offers 3 mains kinds of services:
1) market research
2) strategic growth planning and
3) execution services that encompass both sales and marketing.
“Tenato” comes from the word “tenacity.” Having been in business for almost twenty-four years now, the firm is known for a tenacious, in-depth and comprehensive approach to marketing at rates that are quite accessible to small and mid-sized businesses.
“We like to help the good guys win,” says Jacqueline Drew, CEO and Principal Consultant. “We do not work for companies that compete with each other and we stand by our motto, the tenacity to dig deeper.”
Drew says that one of the challenges Tenato faces today is that they believe that integrity is being lost in marketing as privacy is invaded.
“Misdirecting links are rampant, and data is stolen on digital platforms. We ensure our customers stay on the right side of the lines, and stand on real, long-term sales results.”
Tenato’s milestones to date include opening up offices in Vancouver and Toronto. The firm is thrilled to be offering services nationally while developing these markets. Within the next decade, Tenato will have a well-established team of consultants across Canada in all major cities; making their services easily accessible to any Canadian business.
Drew’s vision is to make Canada more entrepreneurial.
“I would market the “Canada” brand internationally for tourism and talent and support more start-up loans and entrepreneurship education in schools. More small businesses in Canada would ultimately help our business grow, and the country grow. I also believe exporting needs to be made easier for small businesses. I would support industry-by-industry e-commerce promotion of Canadian goods abroad…telling international buyers why Canadian-made products are trustworthy, ethical and well-made.”
One of Tenato’s biggest strengths is their growing team of experienced professionals.
“Hundreds of thousands of businesses in Canada struggle with marketing, and under-promote themselves, so the opportunity is boundless,” said Drew. “Building Canada by building Canadian businesses is what we do best; many of our clients are manufacturers, and we enjoy helping them to grow, expand and export.”
