Proudly participating in CME’s Technology Investment Program, funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), Trillium made a strategic investment in cutting-edge robots and a state-of-the-art 3D vision system.

The integration of robots has modernized their manufacturing processes, propelling Trillium to new heights. It has enhanced productivity (run rates) and expanded their capacity and service offerings for both existing and new customers.

By being able to increase the weight of parts that Trillium stamps, they can now bid on new types of projects. Also, with robots shouldering the burden of heavy lifting, Trillium’s safety program has been elevated.

How did Trillium come to this pivotal decision to invest in technology? Their journey began with their participation in CME’s Technology Assessment Program back in 2021. This initiative assisted Trillium with determining if automation would be viable. Based on CME recommendations, Trillium began this automation project.

Thanks to their newfound efficiencies and capabilities, Trillium has experienced a notable uptick in sales revenue, boasting an impressive $5 million increase per year. This accomplishment directly stems from securing a new project, a feat made possible by their strategic investment in cutting-edge technology.
