WHAT IS MANUFACTURING
More than 85 per cent of manufacturers are reporting that they are having trouble finding qualified employees to fill their talent needs. It is important that we develop and obtain that talent early on in their careers and get students thinking about a career in manufacturing to fill the talent shortage that is currently being experienced.
Getting involved in the learning of students early allows you to show them how manufacturing can offer them a fulfilling and growth-oriented career. A career in manufacturing is not always promoted by guidance counselors and teachers but by actively participating in a tour or a training program it allows students to have the world of manufacturing open up for them.
