SCHOLARSHIPS
Manufacturing Trades and Technology Program Scholarship (MB)
CME Manitoba is proud to announce the Manufacturing Trades and Technology Program Scholarship. As part of our mission, we want to support and prepare the next generation for a career in manufacturing. CME has a history of nearly 150 years supporting and advocating for manufacturers in Canada. A large part of a successful manufacturing sector in Canada is skilled labour. Through the support of this scholarship we are eager to grow that skilled labour pool in Manitoba and help you become part of that success.

Women In Manufacturing (WIM) Scholarship (MB)
CME Manitoba is excited to announce the Women in Manufacturing scholarship. Are you a woman, non-binary or female identifying person and are interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing? This is a great opportunity to help you along that journey and have a chance to be awarded a $2,500 scholarship! CME has a history of nearly 150 years, supporting and advocating for manufacturers in Canada. A large part of a successful manufacturing sector in Canada is skilled labour. Through the support of this scholarship we are eager to grow that skilled labour pool in Manitoba and help you become part of that success.

INDIGENOUS MANUFACTURING SCHOLARSHIP (MB)
CME is committed to supporting the inclusion and success of Indigenous communities across Canada. As a part of our Indigenous workforce development strategy to engage and support those in traditionally underrepresented communities within manufacturing, we are proud to announce a scholarship in the hopes of reducing barriers to access a quality education, and in turn, to build a rewarding career. If you are person of Indigenous ancestry considering a career in manufacturing in Manitoba, learn how you may be eligible to be awarded a scholarship worth $2,500.

YOUTH ACTIVITY BOXES (MB)
In partnership with educators across the province, CME is working to develop and strengthen a future workforce with the interest, aptitude and skills to pursue careers in Manitoba’s dynamic and growing manufacturing industry. CME’s STEM activity boxes help students develop the skills they need to be career ready.
These boxes take the time out of lesson planning. Each box contains a short story (objective) framed around a problem in a manufacturing plant. Using the objective and contents of the box, students use their classroom learning to problem solve and create a solution.
The boxes include all the materials needed to complete the activity, a standard operating procedure (instructions) when appropriate, a career viewbook showcasing manufacturing careers, education paths and more!

TAKE YOUR KID TO WORK DAY KITS
If you’re looking to make arrangements for your students during Take Your Kid to Work Day, CME has put together a guide of helpful resources to help you create an alternative educational experience that teaches students about careers in the real world of manufacturing.
Built for parents, educators, or employees responsible for teaching students the ins and outs in manufacturing careers, this kit includes links to shop tours, suggestions for hand-on STEM activities and more.

Are you an educator or parent in need of programming for elementary-aged children? An initiative of CME Manitoba, our Youth Activity Books were created to build awareness of one of Manitoba’s largest industries – as well as the opportunities it offers!
Complete with colouring, word searches, mazes and more, our activity books provide a learning experience with a focus on problem solving and critical thinking.
