Last fall, the Ontario Government announced that companies paying proceeds under the Emission Performance Standards (EPS) would be able to recover up to 100% of proceeds to fund emission reduction initiatives in their businesses. The province has estimated that the EPS will help industry save over $1 billion compared to the equivalent federal policy.
