Lean 101

OVERVIEW

This one-day, hands-on, ‘learning by doing’ style of workshop will cover the Lean concepts of customer focus, information and material flow and waste elimination. In this introductory session, participants will take part in simulation exercises to gain an understanding of the foundations of Lean and learn what it means to pursue perfection. This training can be taken in-person, online or remote facilitated.

An event confirmation will be sent one week prior to the start date. Cancellations must be received in writing 30 days prior to the first day of the course or a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.  Replacement participant(s) will be accepted.

COURSE LENGTH & TIME COMMITMENT

Online sessions: One half-day in session
In-person sessions: One full day in session

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Understand the five principles of Lean; customer value, value streams, flow, “pull” type control systems and continuous improvement.

WHO CAN BENEFIT

Anyone requiring an introduction to the philosophy, terminology and core tools of Lean thinking. This course is suitable for everyone in the organization from senior leadership to front-line and support staff.
