CME pays tribute to manufacturing and exporting excellence in Manitoba at our annual Gala Awards event. Join us for a celebration alongside more than 400 of manufacturing’s influencers, job creators and thought leaders. This event provides the greater manufacturing community with an opportunity to honour the Hall of Fame, Pioneer, Export and Emerging award recipients.

Rules and restrictions at public gatherings are determined by Manitoba Public Health officials and are subject to change and/or removal. See below for updated information regarding our vaccination policy.


Cancellations received in writing to by March 8, 2022 will be refunded 100% of the registration fee. Cancellations received after March 8 are eligible for a 50% refund OR 100% credit for future CME events (when participants are not able to attend due to illness or self-isolation). Registrations are fully transferable and substitutions may be made at any time.

Event Facility – The RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg: Please be advised that in accordance with Manitoba Provincial Health guidelines, face masks and proof of vaccination are not required to enter any event space at the Centre.

The Hall of Fame award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated leadership in the development of their company or companies and success in their chosen industry. These individuals are visionary leaders and exhibit these qualities through the design or implementation of revolutionary products, systems or processes. They are strongly integrated into the community and demonstrate a positive impact with youth and students.

Al Alexandruk and Tom Wilton

The Prolific Group founders and lifelong friends Al Alexandruk and Tom Wilton met as teenagers when they were both hired to pump gas at a service station. In their 20s, they started a small 200 square footprint shop in the basement of Al’s house. Over their careers, they poured their hearts and souls into their enterprise, eventually arriving at the present location on Wyatt Road, housed in a fully modern 80,000 square foot facility.

Over the course of 47 years, Al and Tom have always been at the forefront of new technology advancements. The teams they assembled have allowed them to pioneer many service and technological firsts in their industry.

The Export award is granted each year to a company demonstrating excellence in expanding into geographic markets and through significant and sustained export sales. This company has achieved a certain degree revenue growth either through regular operations or the creation of additional product lines or the innovation of existing designs. They exhibit good corporate citizenship and have contributed to the expansion of Manitoban and Canadian employment.

These organizations are likely to become future leaders in Manitoba manufacturing and exporting.

Women in Manufacturing (WIM) is a pan-Canadian initiative of CME that aims to increase the number of females employed in the manufacturing industry. CME has created a scholarship program to support the education of women entering the manufacturing workforce.
