Health & Safety Workshop: Human Factors Approach to Safety & Incident Investigations

Overview

This dynamic and practical workshop will help incident investigators, managers, and other safety professionals understand and apply the human factors approach to their investigations and safety management systems. Human factors is a science that focuses on how humans interact with features of the environment in their workplaces. The human factors approach to an investigation asks why a worker’s decision or action made sense to that worker at the time, in the context of their workplace. You will learn tools and methods you can use to help ensure your investigations result in effective injury prevention. You will also have the opportunity to discuss ways of implementing a proactive human factors approach to safety, and learn how to put strategies into action.

who should attend

This workshop is ideal for leaders, managers, safety professionals, operations personnel and manufacturing specialists.
