Webinar – Member Consultation on SR&ED
OVERVIEW
Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive program consultations
Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters have long advocated for improvements to Canada’s SR&ED program, which provides tax incentives to encourage Canadian manufacturers and businesses of all sizes in all sectors to conduct R&D in Canada.
After first committing to review the SR&ED program in Budget 2022, the federal government recently initiated a formal consultation on ways to modernize and improve the program. To inform our consultation and associated advocacy, CME would like to invite you to attend a member roundtable discussion for you to share your experiences with the SR&ED program and how it can be improved. The roundtable discussion will chaired by Ryan Greer, CME Vice President, Public Affairs and National Policy and Martha Breithaupt an SR&ED funding expert and the Founder and Director of State of Science.
Additionally, to inform our work we would invite all members to share their written feedback on the program by sending their input to: ryan.greer@cme-mec.ca
